Ati-Atihan. The word means “to be like Aetas” an indigenous group of people who have distinctively black skin and curly hair, faces painted with black soot and wear extravagant colorful costumes.
Dubbed as the “Mother of all Filipino Festivals”, Ati-atihan Festival in Kalibo Aklan is a sight to see. A showcase of Filipino cultures of different tribes witnessed by different races. The MX3 and GMA caravan of hottest stars boosted the energy and excitement of the most awaited festivity.
A Kapuso Night filled with dancing, music and other party-making activities took place at the Pastrana Park at 7 p.m last January 14. GMA hottest stars Dingdong Dantes, Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Yasmien Kurdi and Mark Anthony Fernandez set to lead the celebration.
Happiness marked on the faces of many Akeanons upon receiving the give-away of MX3 product samples, MX3 handy bags and MX3 ballpoint pens. MX3 gift-giving continued for all participating players of MX3 Hooray wherein everyone received a bag of MX3 products and additional cash prize for the winner. “Hala Bira!” which means “Hit them” as shouted during the festivity, MX3 hits the Akeanon with extravagant surprises and give-away.
